This is a fraudulent mafia style extortion scam. Here's Dennis Batchelder's, Apeesteem's owner, business plan:
1. Turn Dennis Batchelder's personal opinions into "laws"

2. Post these laws (aka personal opinions) on your website that you don't tell anyone about, including not using Facebook or Twitter to tell anyone about your personal opinions.

3. Convince antivirus companies like Avast and Eset to detect software that violate your list of personal opinions posted on your website.

4. Get as many perfectly legitimate software programs detected by antivirus companies as possible. Using mostly false and defamatory statements that are not true. Because the more programs you get detected, the more leads you have to sell your services to get companies de-listed from antivirus companies.

5. Selectively enforce list of personal opinions on only companies Dennis chooses to, but not on any of your partners that you work with or that pay you

6. After your victimized company makes changes to meet these personal opinions, don't notify antivirus companies. Because if you don't notify the antivirus companies, then when the victimized company keeps getting told that your software remains on Dennis's list you have to move forward to step 7 -

7. Offer to sell victims of Appesteems founders personal opinions a package for $2500 down, $1,000/mo and $300/hr to get us de-listed from antivirus companies that Appesteem got us detected by through Dennis Batchelder's personal opinions.

I know because we were his latest victim. Appesteem doesn't enforce laws or rules, they enforce what Dennis Batchelder told me are his personal opinion. He didn't give us any notice or reach out and let me know what his personal opinions are, he just gets 9 different antivirus companies to start detecting our software because he didn't like one word in our software.

That one word that offended him was "errors." Ccleaner, owned by Avast, one of the companies that Apeesteem works with used the same "error" word two months ago, and that was fine, but since we don't work with Appesteem and never heard of him before, we don't get a free pass. We get listed as a "deceptor" for the rest of eternity.

A "deceptor" is any program that has violated Dennis Batchelders personal opinion, aka "violations" posted on his Appesteem website

Appesteem won't contact any of the antivirus companies and fix his error unless we pay him a $2500 setup fee, $1,000/mo and a $300/hr consulting fee to clean up the mess he personally made. I call that extortion
