The company is said to be a team of legal and professional experts dedicated to helping people get a visa for Canada. They have contacted me via phone on May 11th 2020 to subscribe to their services and apply for a permanent residency visa to immigrate to Canada. This was no longer in my plans since long ago and I wanted to take the time with my partner to reflect on the opportunity to immigrate or not to Canada. However, I was tricked to pay in a hurry and in a non conventional manner. But on the 13th of May, I decided to revoke the sale as permitted by law for any remote sale (14days to retract starting the day after the payment). Since then I’ve been sending unequivocal emails stating I had no intention to immigrate to Canada, and requesting to close my application and delete my data (GDPR). The company’s services are no longer needed but they refuse to execute my rights and to refund. They want me to submit my spouse’s medical certificate as I made the mistake to mention her medical condition as one of the reasons I didn’t want to immigrate. The fact is within the delay of 14days, the right of rétractation applies without having to justify or give any motive. I should add although it doesn’t matter here that the delay is extended to a year since the cancellation policy was never mentioned. Nevertheless, medical documents are sensitive data and they have no legal ground to request and access these. I’m this filling a complaint here for the internet community to be careful will the methods of this company. But I’m also filling a complaint with all legal and competent authorities.
