I heard about this company who had been advertising on a local radio station in Charlotte, NC and how they were able to help people who were struggling with making their car payments. I gave them a call and I was told that I was the perfect candidate for their program. They faxed me some papers to fill out to reduce my auto payment. They told me that they would be able to reduce my interest and balance and that I would get a 40-60% reduction in my monthly auto payment. I was also told that they could have my payments due at that time deferred or brought current. I was also told not to speak to my lender because once I signed the papers and faxed them back that Auto Saver would be representing me and explaining to the lender about their ability to reduce my car payments. I even faxed some papers that were notarized when I faxed back the Auto Saver package. They also told me not send my lender anymore payments until Auto Saver had gotten my car payments reduced. After missing about 2 payments, I started calling Auto Saver and no one would call me back. I finally called my lender and explained to them about my involvement with the Auto Saver company and my lender told me that they'd never heard of the company. My lender explained that the Auto Saver company was probably "a scam."
