Details are difficult to recall, so much has happened (or not happened). On Nov 18, 2008, I was sold a website for $1448.00 (to be professionally designed and established for me). It all sounded great with all the promises made. I was to write articles to make the site current and make the domain name more valuable, for which I was to be paid (win-win). I was told that the domain name was valuable and should become even more valuable when they sold it at auction. I was given all the tools to write and publish the articles. On December 8, 2008, They convinced me that they needed to do some improvement which cost me $228.00. As time wore on, they kept trying to get me to invest more money for website improvement and to provide important links from other thriving businesses. I finally told them to sell at auction, as the site stood, and that I was investing no more money in the website. The website looked good. When they finally under-
stood that I was tapped out, they became very unresponsive and dropped me. They would not answer my emails nor my phone calls. Eventually their website and the tools for writing articles disappeared from the web. Apparently, I still own the domain name, according to GoDaddy, but what can I do with it? idoretirement.com. Altogether, I was scammed for $3820.45 and it is time to re-register so the domain name will not go on market.
