On 10/18/2011,while traveling in Payson, our car broke down.
our insurane company had it towed to Fltcher's Tire in Payson.
They were not able to dagnose problem so they had it towed to
Cory Ford Co in Star Valley, AZ.
Cory Ford did an inspection and diagnosed the problem as a faulty Power Train Moduale. The part was ordered and installed on 10/13.
Cost - $947.01.
Car was returned to Fletcher's Tire & Auto -who called us and said
the car was ready to be picked up.
Approximately 4 miles (5 minutes) later, when we had returned to
where we were staying, the car again would not work. We called
Fletcher's Tire - and they came out and had it towed back to Cory
Ford. The problem was then diagnosed as a bad crank sensor,
This part ($35.48) was installed and our car was repaired. This
time we received a bill for $407.45!!
Considering the same problem happened twice - we believe it could
have been repaired the first time with the bad crank sensor - which
would have relieved us of this $1354.35 bill. I mentioned this to
the service rep at Cory Ford who confirmed my suspicion, but he
said they were just following the instuctions of Fletcher's Tire & Auto.
