I was looking on the Internet and happened to see a trial offer of Pura Silk, a skin care product, and/or Phytoglow (which miraculously appeared on the invoice I received via Internet.) This was supposedly a 14 day trial of Pura Silk for $3.95 shipping. PERIOD. And if I was not
satisfied, after the 14 days, I could simply "opt out" of their monthly
program. (They also claim I can download an "E" book by ...I don't even remember or care! Supposedly a skin care professional whose name is very unimportant to me at this time.I DID NOT download the E book, even though they claim it is also "free".) Within the day, I
received on-line, an invoice from "Pura Silk" (although my credit card company stated that the company name is actually "Natural Health Net" which unfortunately is not on your list of companies that scam people, but Pura Silk is. (Phytoglow is not even mentioned in any list either.) The invoice, of order #58646, dated November 28, 2011 is
as follows $19.95 for the product of Pura Silk, $3.95 for shipping, and
$1.97 for sales tax; the total amount of that credit card charge is
$25.87! I phoned my credit card company immediately, after seeing
your website Scambook, and explained the situation to the rep. Not only is there a charge from Natural Health Net (aka Pura Silk) for
$25.87, there is an ADDITIONAL charge for $89.99 WHICH I NEVER
would agree to such an outrageous amount for some face lotion!
I believed that I could opt out of the trial after the 14 day period, which is what a 14 day trial means, correct? Or am I just too stupid to believe? And what is "phytoglow" anyway? That is not what I signed up for! I live on the Pacific Coast, and the company is allegedly on the East Coast. I phoned the number on the invoice (even though I knew
there would most likely not be a customer rep. available) which is
1-888-243-8502. A tape recorded male voice informed me:"You have
reached Customer Support.(He did not mention the name of the
company, or product, however,) and he continues...."You can phone
us Mon-Fri 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Eastern Time (which was different from the times given on my invoice by the way, another deceitful practice) and Sat. 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. My credit card company rep. advised me that most likely the charges will not be posted to my account until Thursday, which is Dec.1, 2011 and to phone them again at that date.
The credit card rep. also advised me that they will do everything in their power to get this matter resolved, and hopefully, I will not have to pay either of those charges. "Hopefully" is a nice word, but it is not
necessarily true. Unfortunately (more likely) I may have to pay for those charges, until the matter is resolved, in which case, Natural
Health Net aka Pura Silk will have to LEGALLY refund my money. We do have a law that states that I can change my mind within a 72 hr. period as long as I notify the company, which is exactly what I am trying feverishly to do. I am definitely going to phone them first thing later on today, November 29, 2011 which is well within the 72 hr.
period. They may be unavailable to receive calls, and even if I do speak to a human being, that person may be unreceptive and/or negative about crediting my account back, for both charges. If it is
claimed that the 14 day Free Trial product of Pura Silk has already
been shipped, I am going to inform that person that I intend to refuse the item and return to sender without even opening the shipment,
and therefore, they must, by law, credit my account back the entire amount of $25.87. As for the 2nd charge of $89.99, there is no way
they could have shipped the product before the 14 day trial period
ends, and I will inform them that my agreement (if there even was one, which I highly doubt since I never, ever spend that large amount
of money on any skin care product) is terminated with their company.
I intend to inform them also, that I have investigated their company and have learned that there are many, many people who have been scammed by this company in the same way I am now being scammed!
Also, I plan to attest to the fact that I have reported them to Scambook.com and have asked for help from your company, attorneys, affiliates, agencies, etc., whomever can help me get my money credited back to me! My personal contact info. is as follows:
My name is Christine Lopez Pitt, address: 70 Adam Court, San Carlos,
CA 94070-1601. My home phone # is 650-592-7767, and my personal
cell phone # is 650-274-4010. My email address is: [email protected]. I am also going to "LIKE" Scambook.com on
Facebook and let people know how easy I was tricked into this so-called 14 day trial period of Pura Silk for "only $3.95 shipping." It may
be embarrassing and humiliating for me to tell my contacts how foolish, gullible, ignorant, and victimized I feel, but if it can save one
person from something like this, it is well worth it. Please let me hear from you as soon as possible. I do appreciate any and all help you can give me. Sincerely, Christine L. Pitt (I wonder why the company
name of Natural Health Net is not listed on your website, but PuraSilk is.)

  • You MUST be drinking that stuff! "Man"...that goes way back to the 60's. As for "bro", I'm NOT a bro., not your or anyone's. I am a lady, and a nice, intelligent one, that fell for false advertising and a scam.
If you read other comments and reports about Pura Silk, you would know that at present (that means today), there are 15 complaints
FILED with Scambook. Who knows (not you) how many other women
got scammed and for whatever reason, did not report it to scambook. Perhaps they haven't heard of Scambook. I did not know about Scambook until this unfortunate incident. Now PetrS: I do not want to argue with you. You seem to have a less "intense" personality than I have. (You also do not know my personal business, or my financial situation.) You may be referring to a total different product than I am. Maybe there is a beverage available from a Health Net co. that is called "Pure Silk" or something like that. My son is lactose intolerant so he drinks "Silk" soy beverage in Vanilla. Perhaps that is what you are referring to, because I doubt very much that you would drink a jar of cosmetic/face cream "every month." That is why I am "so mad".....because the PuraSilk (that is EXACTLY how it is spelled in their ads) ad sold by Natural Health Net. is a product that was "allegedly" a 14 day free trial for only $3.95 to pay for shipping costs. That was o.k. with me. However, when I was notified (within only several hours) that my credit card had been charged almost $30.00 for that one 14 day free trial jar of PuraSilk, I was quite upset.
When I phoned my credit card company again, I was informed that the company Natural Health Net, which charged me the original $30.00, had once again charged my credit card $89.99 for yet
ANOTHER JAR that I had NOT ORDERED NOR AUTHORIZED. I did phone Natural Health Net and was spoken to in a rude, ignorant fashion, with repetitive words and phrases, her favorite being: terms & conditions...." So, I have taken steps to work with my credit card company to stop them from charging any more $$$ on my credit card.
Now PetrS. I don't know you, but I don't want you to give me "attitude" as my son says, and I do "chill" as I also know what that word means. If you have some real, helpful info. please do let me know. Otherwise, I think we may be arguing about a completely different product. By the way, how did you get on this site, and why are you commenting about my situation? Do you really care about what happens to us, the often innocent or gullible victims of credit card fraud, false advertising, unauthorized use of credit cards, etc?
(Actually I HAVE tried the Silk Soy product my son drinks every day, and it is quite good actually, in the Vanilla flavor, if that is what you are really referring to. However, I have this feeling you are just "playin'" with me, and making me feel and seem foolish than I already do. Sincerely, Christine P.S. Sorry I was rude to you in my last comment. I am just very upset as I cannnot afford those charges, and should NEVER have given my credit card number to a company I hadn't checked, as I usually do.

  • I feel you, sister Christine. You are a strong, pale woman who doesn't need a man. I now understand why you are so mad about the whole situation. Unfortunaetly in western Russia, we don't have any Soy Milk to drink.
