Went with this company after checking the BBB, they were not affiliated, but did have only 2 reports on arbitration complaints.
Talked with intake person,with National Mod. Preparation, and explained that we needed to reduce our mortgage payment and could they help. Up front was $ 2200.00, then all type of information, from tax forms, SS # and all information that was personal. Tons of information. NOW THIS IS SCARY!!!. They did not help, didn't return calls and if we wanted our money we has to have a letter of denial from our mortgage comp. Now they have close shop. I wrote the Attorney General of AZ., notified the BBB and our complaint is in a file until they, National Mod. Prep. opens up again. Everything they stated to us was "JUNK." When we began this process we told National Modification Preparation that our mortgage
company had told us they do not work with third parties. We had tried to work with our lender but they refused, so that is when we tried National Mod. Prep.
Because of the information that they obtained from us, we have notified our bank and others. Yes, I feel strongly this was a scam.
I have the letters that the Attorney General of AZ. mailed to us, hopefully these artist will get caught and we have learned a hard lesson. There are many National Modification Preparation companies, but if I has to do it all over again "I rather go to a loan shark." I wonder about the other Companies calling themselves National Mod. Preparation, can they be trusted???????
