I placed an order for a Nikon coolpix L120 on Cyber Monday. I called the company today 12/5/2011, to ask about my order. This is when I found out they said they had emailed me three times to tell me that they needed the three digit code on the back of my card. I looked at my emails and there was nothing there. I found this odd but proceeded as I thought I was getting a good deal. It was not until I got off the phone, and did some searching to find out that this samething has happened to other people. I Also found out that the camra was not a product of the US, meaning I was going to get a camra in god only knows what language, and need some speical batteries to run it (which by they way the tried to sell to me). I called them back to confirm the information I read was true, and the customer service man, told me that it was true and that they did business world wide and that if I wanted the US style camra it would cost extra (it does not say this on website when you are buying the camra!). The customer service man was very rude, so I told him to cancel my order and that I better not see a charge on my card, he then told me that he would cancel my order, but I could not tell him what to do and that he would not go out of business over$ 180 dollars. So if there is one thing that I can do to help people out, PLEASE do not buy anything thing from this site!!

  • Oh my. I had a similar incident with this company today! I had ordered a Nikon L120 about a week ago. I got an email to contact them. I called and the guy told me they didn't have the camera in red and would I accept the black model. I said yes. Then he asks me if I ordered the digital batteries & charger and I told him I can get batteries. He explained that I can't use regular batteries because nikon has identified a problem with using regular batteries, that they will leak. He quotes me a price of 29$ and change, and also said they had the charger. So I said yes. Then when I got home I called them to cancel the battery order Nd he tells me that if I cancel it I won't get the "upgraded" camera, which was never mentioned in the first call. He tells me the camera I ordered is from Turkey but they upgraded me to the US model along with the order of the batteries and charger. I asked him what the difference is between the two cameras and he says that unless I can speak Turkish the instructions aren't going to be helpful. I told him the ad didnt list it was from Turkey and he said that's why they can sell them for $179.00. So I said ok. Then I called back a few minutes later and cancelled the order. what a scam. I'm reporting them to the federal trade commission tomorrow.
