I had filled out several different applications online for payday loans. Several days prior to July 1, 2011, I was contacted via phone by someone from Platinum Online Group. They rattled some reference to being approved for a payday loan, and something about a separate shopping club (USA Shopping Club) with spending limit of $2,500. The person was talking in circles while explaining. I told them I was most interested in a payday loan as I didn't have money in my account until July 1st. Well, on July 1st, they took out the "processing fee" (as I was told later they called it). USA Shopping Club canceled my membership promptly at my request, but advised me that the $99.00 was taken as a 'processing fee' by Platinum Online Group. I am in the process of trying to get my money refunded.
