Young man claiming to have just returned from Iraq was collecting points to win a trip to Italy prior to starting school next year. Asked for money to pay for books that were to be sent to underprivileged children. Kids get the books, he gets the points and then a trip, I get a tax deduction. Very slick presentation but when I checked here I realised that kids get nothing, he gets my $26 and I get a worthless receipt and the sadness that there are people out there scamming like this.
