I received a letter from the Nations Lottery Promotion stating that I won $200.00 from a sweepstakes. I was given a claim number and was to call a customer care rep named Montel Ariza. Along with the letter was a check for $4,976.50 and to activate the check was asked to call 1-778-891-8733. After I spoke to this so called customer care rep, he advised me to go deposit this check into my bank account. When I told him I didn't have one, he then said for me to open one and call him back after I did so. I went to the website of the company that the check was from & there is an important notice stating that they are not affiliated with this letter & should report it to authorities. I am kinda pissed cuz for a minute there I believed it & this stupid letter& check got my hopes up.
