I was contacted by this company after putting an inquiry online while looking for a personal loan. After speaking with someone they told me that they found a lender to approve my application. The terms were 9% interest over 3 years with a minimum monthly payment of $161 and change. The amount I was borrowing was $5000. There were 3 different options presented to me to recieve this money.
1) To have collateral of equal value
2) To have a cosigner with a high credit score (700+)
3) Secure the loan with 5 months of payments. This would make it so I didn't have a payment due for 5 months.

After I agreed, I needed to send them the 5 months of payments. I STUPIDLY did this.

After a couple of days, they contacted me and said there was a problem. Once the lenders insurance company looked at the paperwork it was determined I was a higher risk so I needed to send them another 5 months of payments.
I was like absolutly not.... I told them I wanted a complete refund of the money.
I was told that they can do that & they initiated the request. They also told me that I wouldn't receive the funds until the lenders payout date which was December 23rd. I fought & fought with them, because I was told the funds were already secured at Forestview. I was told there is nothing they can do to expedite it. I called them today 12/23/11 to ask about the reund and the number is blocked. I thought it was just blocked by my number but several others called too and got the same message. Their website is also gone.

I don't know what else can be done.

If someone can help me I would appriciate it immensely.
