I signed into a website to inquire about government grants. I was charged $2.97 and requested cancellation in the same day. It was debited and credited to my account on the same day. Then on July 11,2011 I was charged $57.61 for a membership. I never authorized this. I called the 1-888-255-1137 on my checking account and was told it was cancelled. I hvae been told over and over again that no one could refund the money to me. I emailed getgrantfundong.net and was told they could give me $40, back of the $57.61. I have been hung up on, spoke to rudely, and placed on hold for aver 45 minutes without any success of getting any kind of refund. I was given 866-778-7780 to call, as wellas 866-458-9077 with NO luck at all on this scam. It was supposed to be a government website. Now what a waste of time.

Hello - I purchased this domain name from a GoDaddy Auction April 12th 2011 as an expired domain name. There was no site at that point as they had let this domain name expire.
There is currently a wordpress site on this domain but it has no data, never has had data and its literally been a blank site between when I purchased the domain name and today. Since I have owned this site we have never undertaken any online transactions with anyone through it. Period. The date today is July 23rd 2011.
That means that you signed up with the company who owned this domain before April 12th and they are continuing to bill you even though they don't even own the site anymore. Very uncool! So I would try to find out who owned the site before April 12th 2011.
Its horrible that a company would sign you up as a customer then cancel their site, not provide an great service and still bill you. I recommend you a) talk to your bank b) Try to find out who you purchased this service from probably through your credit card company and c) contact the FTC or someone along those lines.
This is terrible business practice - you should make sure you are not being billed then go after them for the money they have unethically deducted.
