Someone called me on the phone after I applied online for a PayDay loan on the 23rd. I couldn't understand their English very well, but I thought I was approved for a loan and that money was going to be depositted into my checking account. To my surprise, $99.95 was withdrawn from my checking account just fourdays later. On top of that, they led me to believe that I would be making $40 monthly payments for the loan. Now I am wondering if they plan to take $40 a month from my checking...and just what it's for! The customer service number is 888-251-6046 (printed on the check I printed a copy of at my banking institutions website). I plan on calling that number in the morning, plus contacting my bank. The check is dated 12/24/2011 and displays a 10 day money back guarantee. Clever, 10 days from 12/24/2011 is 1/2/2012 which just happens to be a national holiday on which the banks are closed. My bank paid the check, which through my account into the negative, and they charged me a $35 nsf fee.
