I was exiting my vehicle about to enter a grocery store in Suwanee, GA, which is about 30 miles north of Atlanta, GA, when a gentleman approached me about purchasing some stereo equipment. The gentleman was caucasian and appeared to be in his mid-twenties, and drive a 2003-2006 model Chevy Z71 Tahoe. The gentleman stated he was about to deliver equipment to a customer's home, and had some "extra" equipment as he described it, and was looking to earn some extra cash. The gentleman stated he was a local college student who worked for a sound company, and even produced an ID of the sound company. Long story short, he was asking $400 for the equipment and ended up talking him down to $220. Bottom line, I got home, plugged it in, and automatically realized I was scammed, as I should have known better! It actually powered up and works, but my clock radio sounds ten times better! Being formerly laid off from work, I could appreciate a kid who is trying to earn a living, but only if it's honestly. From now on, I will spend the 2k at Best Buy or a local store where you know exactly what you are getting, along with a manufacturers warranty. I feel sorry for the people who got scammed for more money. I feel I only got scammed about half, because that is all the system is worth! If it's too good to be true, it probably is!. Scammers, please, get a life and a real job!
