On 2-23-2011, a young man came to our home selling magazine subscriptions. He said that the subscriptions were for the members of our Armed Service Members stationed overseas. My husband is a veteran, and I know how much these young men and women give up for all of us protecting our country. Even though money was really tight, my husband and I decided this was a way we could say "thank you" to our men and woman in the military. The young man suggested a different magazine for our male soldiers and for our female soldiers. So I subscribed to Rolling Stone Magazine for three different male soldiers for one year each; and Woman's Day Magazine for three different female soldiers for one year each. Then in May we started receiving Rolling Stone magazine and Woman's Day magazine. Please note we DID NOT order either of these magazines for ourselves. The subscription end date for both magazines as stated on the address labels is April 2014. That is a three year subscription for each magazine! Which corresponds to a one years subscription for three separate male solders, and a one year subscription for three separate female soldiers! I am so appalled that anyone would use the promise that these subscriptions would go to our military men and women, when in fact that was not the case at all. I would never have bought $176.00 worth of magazine subscriptions for ourselves, especially since my husband was on disability at the time, and we were behind in our house payments.
