Answered an advertisement in a local newspaper for bulldog puppies that needed a new home. Puppies were in England. Conversed via email with owner and shipping company, did research on shipping company. Their web site was very professional and looked legit, until they sent another correspondance wanting another $300 for varification of paperwork in order for them to ship dogs. finally I decided to research the name of the person money was sent to, wow found his name in the KNOWN FRAUD Names within the Western Union network. Very disappointed with Western Union for not having a red flag on these people that have already been reported to them and didnt give us warning before we finished the transaction. I am upset with myself for being dupped and even more upset with an upstanding company with a good reputation like Western union for not looking out for their customers by alerting us to these; by having warnings come up when the name of receivers are typed in, as being known for fraud.
