This company reached us in Nov and offering low rate for Chicago International Houseware Show of March, 2012. We booked 10 rooms total in November and paid $5000 by credit card. Then they offered 5% discount by check. We paid them $9224.49 by check, they promised will refund the credit back once recieve our check. When I asked for about 4 weeks about the credit refund, they told me they will be out of business in a couple of weeks. That was right after they cashed our check.
Then no one answers the phone call and always the voice mail.
Please advise if anyone here got money back from them. We should work together for this case.

- As of February 23, 2012, the Attorney General has sent out letters to individuals that filed a complaint. In the letter it states that the Attorney General is not filing any criminal charges against the company as IEP has been giving refunds to consumers/customers that were due refunds. If you are due a refund, contact IEP. If you have tried to get a refund and have not, contact the Attorney General (of Nevada) again so that they know whether IEP is following up on what they said they would do for their customers. Employees and companies had complained they didn't have rooms when confirmed or not paid for, but the Attorney General will not files charges against IEP. The reason they won't is because if they do, IEP will file for bankruptcy and no refunds will be given to anyone. If IEP is still operating, do not book reservations with them as you could run into this situation again in the future. Check the BBB site, and last phone call made to IEP shows they were still open for business.
