I shop for the month when my Social Security check comes in on the 3rd. I needed to go out and get my prescriptions this afternoon, so first I checked my checking account. I found an $11 charge from WR 3DESIGN GA, and a $20.01 charge from a NATALIE K ARNDT. I called my bank and they told me they would not be able to give me any information until after these charges are processed. BUT suggested that I Goggle these names. So...here I am...finding myself a victim of a SCAM!

- Me too!!!! On the 11th January 2012!!! My bank cancelled my card after noticing an 81 cent debit from the USA. I did the exact same thing you did and got straight online to google them, I am so glad that you posted your message. I have to ask, have you had any strange phone calls over the past few days and have you purchased anything recently off ebay or through paypal?

This is much the same has happened to me, with few variations, which are strange. On 1/11/12 I had charge on my ATM card for 20.01 V-Cards, which I did not recognize. Planned to call bank on the next day, however on 1/12/12, the next day, this 20.01 was reversed, so thought problem had righted itself. Then on 1/13/12 I misplaced my ATM card, but after 2 days of looking realized it was lost. Called today 1/17/12 to report lost card and then noticed a new charge of 10.65 charged from WR 3 Design GA. I did not make this charge, so good thing I canceled before any more harm. I also suspected scam and googled to find this site. Thank u for posting - i just don't understand - do they do these small amount manipulations in your account to work up to larger amounts? I don't get it - one charge before my card is lost, then another AFTER card is lost.

- Lettie ~ I am glad to hear that you discovered this before the charges starting getting astronomical. That's what this group is known for. If a charge to a number goes through, these folks know they have an un-monitored account and proceed to make larger withdrawals. I don't know if your two incidents are related. These scammers fall through the cracks amongst honest mistakes made by merchants.
