On 12/05/2011 we bought a couch from Rooms to Go inHouston Texas at Bybrook Mall store. It was a manual recliner type.It was one that one pushes down with their legs. The floor model worked very easy.My wife and I are older and live on a fixed income, we decided that for thee plus hundred dollars that we could live with manual type recliners. We paid fifty nine dollars to have the piece delivered. After
using the couch for a few day we could not get the recliners to latch unless we get out of the chair and use our hands to force them to latch. The right side recliner was very hard. We called the customer service dept. as directed. they scheduled a person to work on the couch. The technician worked on the couch for one and one half hours and made the right recliner latch but it ..was very hard to push down. The Tech. was a young person and he state that it was very hard to make latch. We said to him we can not live with that operation. He suggested that we call customer service and see what they would do. We called customer service and they said we could trade the couch in on one that operated electrically. Now to my complaint, they charged us another fifty nine dollars to deliver the new couch and pick up the FAULTY one. At the store they said that it was stated on the back of the bill and the were right. Except it also said unless the equipment being picked up was faulty.The information on the bill was very dim and hard to make out to read.Customer service located in Florida said that the Technician reported that he fixed the couch. He did get to latch but he said it was hard to operate.
