Hi Kirsty,
My name is Beth and I am writing to you on behalf of the real Reset Finance LTD. This is just a quick post to let you know that we are currently dealing with the problem with these people who are using our details to offer loans. They have also stolen the details of a few other companies, but we are doing everything we can to get them shut down.
We, Reset Finance, are a legitimate loan broker based in the UK, not India. We have a consumer credit license which means that we are regulated by the OFT (Office of Fair Trading). Also, we will never charge any upfront fees to use our service, so please do not transfer any money to anyone who claims to be Reset Finance.
We only deal with lenders who are properly regulated, with licenses, and who are committed to responsible lending. Generally speaking, brokers will get paid by the lenders themselves, meaning that there is no reason that a broker should ever charge a customer to use their service.
We are currently working with the Police and Trading Standards and doing everything we can to try and get these people shut down. All we can do for now is offer our sympathies to anyone affected and recommend that you get in touch with your bank as soon as possible to see if anything can be done to reclaim your money.
