i was calling an 800 number (as I recall it was American Express) and i got another company,, and i said, who are you.. and i was told American Express? was having phone problems..... and ABC-123 LLC was filling in until the problem is solved (or words to that effect.
I strongly suggest you go on google and look up Assist 123 and you will find many, people had the same experience and the same 3.95 or 2.95. etc/ showed up on their credit card also.The following was one of these many Assist-123 LLC i found on google..
"my call was somehow directed to someone who said he represented Access 123. He said they offer long distance directory service and would pay me $100 for trying the service. I gave him a credit card number adn agreed to try the service in return for the promised cash payment of $100. A charge for $5 appeared immediately on my credit card bill.
