On Jan 14th I signed up for an online, work @ home company, was told the activation fee was $9.97 (but only for a few more minutes). After the initial transaction, I was sent to other websites that all wanted me to "upgrade". After 5 minutes I said this IS not for me, found my way to the refund section; that says there is a 60 day money back guarantee if we are not happy - the catch, (I have a copy of the policy in front of me)
1) must give an honest try of 2 wks.
2) put system in place and start to see results.
3) must have contacted customer support team for assistance if you do not feel program is working for you.
I sent an email to their contact us page within 20 minutes saying that I wanted a refund and since it had not been even 24 hours I felt the full 9.97 should be refunded(there is a $3.00 processing cost).

Today, Jan 25, I checked my account balance and discovered there was a $65.99 entry from this same company. The bank gave me the 1-800 number they had attached to the entry. I called that number, was waiting 10 minutes before talked to a person, who for some reason could not find my "account", after 15 minutes, he gave me another 1-800 number where I was waiting another almost 20 minutes before talking to a person. This person was able to help in a fashion. Found my "account", said the 65.99 was the monthly activation fee that was automatically deducted because I had not canceled within the 7 day "trail period" (refer to #1 of the refund policy). When I asked if they could cancel my account, was put back on hold, then was told "yes" account would be canceled, money would be refunded, but that there was a $3.00 processing charge, so only $62.99. When I asked about the original $9.97, was told that since I did not "call" to cancel within the 7 day "trail period" that it could not be refunded. It would take 7 to 10 business days for the refund to show up in my account.

While I am grateful for the return of the unauthorized monies, I still think the full $75.96 should be refunded.
