I filled in an online app form to get a quote as money was tight with just been layed off from work the previous month and my partner due to give birth the end of that month as well as bills coming in left, right and centre. I was then called up by an asian man saying we had been approved for this and they needed a 50 pound admin fee to release our funds. I asked a lot of questions about this and was assured nothing would come out unless I approved this, low and behold I stupidly gave in to him and he agreed I would have the funds by the end of the day. Over 3 months has gone by with no word or money from them. I've sent out a written complaint to the companies 'apparent' address, called several times a week to get a voice mail not a person. I know to some people 50 pound isn't a lot but when your not working and have got 2 young babies it is . I've enquired about a local ombudman service which I'm waiting to hear back from.
