I too have been caught out by this company. Opted for the free product (which was advertised in the national press online) and just paying for the postage, although did try to cancel it before making the payment, but it went through anyway on 28th Dec 2011. Then saw on tv that a similar company were scamming customers, which made me quite wary. I received the product from them 2 weeks ago postage dated 27th Dec 2011 and have not used them (still unopened).
My bank statement came through yesterday and they have taken 2 lots of £69.95 on 14th Jan and again on 3rd Feb. I have contacted Santander who informed me that they could not stop the payments and I would need to contact the company to do this and request a refund. I asked what would happen if I just closed off my account totally, but they said if the company were to give me a refund then there may be problems in them refunding me. As I have no contact details to contact the company, they gave me an obscure telephone number which goes to a voicemail??? who knows whos??? They also suggested that I google the company and email them. If after 2 weeks if no reply from them, I could contact Santander's dispute department to inform them and they could deal with the matter. As I was getting nowhere I phoned the dispute department and they were much more helpful. They blocked my bank card and confirmed that no other payments would be taken using this card. They would issue me with a new card in 7-10 days and also send me a disclaimer with regards to having the monies taken refunded. After reading these blogs regarding the company. I will call them again on 08455280540 a bit later today as their time zone in Bluffdale Texas is a bit behind us, and their opening hours are between 8am-5pm. I too will make the same threats as the previous blogger on this site has made. I definitely shant be using my bank cards to make any online payments in the future.
