So there was a bridal event yesterday that my fiancé, mother, and I attended. It was at The Peabody Hotel in Orlando, FL. One booth filled with cookware had a box (like many others) where you submit your name, number, etc. for a "chance to win door prizes." Well, shortly after getting home we received a phone call and a message was left saying "Congratulations, you won some door prizes" and to call back. I noticed that the number I was told to call back was a different number from the one left on my caller ID. BOTH times. Well I called back twice, and each time some one answered I could hear them typing as they asked for my name and number. Then I was told TWICE that someone would call me back. It was a different person each time. I finally received a phone call back, and was given all this information on these "wonderful" prizes I won including the "3 day 2 night all inclusive stay at one of three locations which included Mexico, DR, and Costa Rica" oh and did I mention "activities, food, and drinks are included" just not airfare. Ok.. sounded somewhat believable right? I still wasn't convinced. Before hanging up I was told that there was conveniently a "cooking show" this evening located at a nearby hotel. And "after the show.. I would be receiving my prizes." OH SURE.. as if it's THAT easy... I told the scammer on the phone that I would be attending. After hanging up I checked out the site.. seemed somewhat legit, but of course it was all about the pots, pans, knives, etc that they are trying to sell. My fiancé immediately did some research and found out within seconds that they are SCAMMERS. I read over the reports myself, and I am just frustrated that just because these dishonest people sell cookware they think they can reel people in by this hoax of "A FREE HONEYMOON" as it is boldly printed on their site. I am disgusted by these peoples and will be making MANY calls tomorrow regarding this issue. They give NOTHING away for free, they are full of bs, and have clearly taken advantage of innocent people who think they are really getting something when in realty their time is wasted and their hopes are crushed. I am not a fan of scammers and will not take this situation lightly. This is a long report, however I think it's important that EVERYONE is made aware of what is going on... along with the fact that the retaliation comments on this site saying it's "good cookware" merely talks about the cookware (OF COURSE, right?). They are PAID to write these FALSE reports of having "somewhat decent experiences." My fiancé found the SAME report written by a paid pathetic liar on several different sites... think your getting away with it? I don't think so.
To anyone who plans on attending a bridal show, or if you have been contacted by "Bella Bridal Network" or "Chef Master" DO NOT believe a word that comes out of their mouth. I hope I have helped and look forward to putting this to an end! :)

  • Just here to verify & second everything the OP said--had the same experience in Livonia, MI! Right down to the phone calls--except mine claimed that I won something through "Embassy Suites" and that I'd be collecting my prize at an Embassy Suites for a "tasting."
