So, I am stationed here @ Ft. Bragg, NC here in Fayetteville, I was walking out of Bank Of America @ Cross Creek Mall and 3 white dudes pulled along side of me asking if I was interested in purchasing a surround system for the low. I pulled over like an idiot just to see what they were talking about. The dude flashes like $2,000 in my face saying he's been making sells all day & he just sold one off $900. He pulled out the merchandise & demonstrated the weight, quality & feel. I was really interested from that point &I he had aasked what was I willing to render as a deal. I figured since he sold the last one for $900, he won't go for $300. Big mistake! He jumped @ it so fast! I thought he was gonna pull off right there & then. I should of known something was fishy right there & then. Anyways when I got back home, I open the box & started to "try" to wire everything up. First, the wiring that came with the system was very cheesy & cheap, Secondly, there were no RCA hookups for to check like the diagram on the box shows. By this realization, I knew I had just been scammed! I then decide well if it is the case let open the speaker boxes to see what the speaker & wiring quality is. Just like I assumed, it was a cheap paper cone woofer & cheap tiny guage wiring. I was so dissappointed in myself because usually I just pass street deals up & not think twice about them, but I had some extra cash on me &I figured that, hey this crap is retailing at $2000, its a steal @ $300! What a load of crap! Lesson learn. And then just to confirm everything, I get online &I google McLaren Technologies & they have been scamming everyone. Im still am going to buy a digital sound projector to run the junk see how it sounds, but from reading the rest of the complaints, I'm not finna get my hopes up as I should already know what to expect. Now, the next order of business is to figure out how make my $300 back or at least a gud portion of it!
