I sent this to the Office Chief Intake Trial Counsel of Ca Bar:

Dear Thomas T. Tran - Investigator, October 29, 2011

Thank you very much for your response. Please know that I never got anything from you until today, so I apologize for not responding.

Basically, in 2009 I was looking to eliminate credit card debt and I found Freedom Financial Management.
(Also known as: Freedom Financial Management, Freedom Fidelity Management and now Alliance 8).
To be honest, I heard their advertisement on the radio and blindly trusted. I started their program on 5.26.2009 and completed payments on 3.12.2010 (see enclosed). I signed a contract with them, but unfortunately no longer have it!

They took both credit cards (Bank of America and Orchard Bank HSBC) with a combined total of $6915 and had me pay automatic monthly payments of $312 until $3734.10 was fully paid off (see enclosed). My final payment was made on 3.12.2010. They settled my B of A card for $2000 (see enclosed).

*Please note that I started a contract with Freedom Financial Management on 5.26.2009, they changed their name to Freedom Fidelity on October 2, 2009 (see enclosed). They are currently scamming people as Alliance 8.*

Freedom Financial kept good communication with me and eliminated my B of A card 1st that had the most debt!
Once they were fully paid on 3.12.2010, their communication ceased completely! I couldn’t reach anyone anymore! After struggling to regain brief communications on the phone, I was told every time that my final card (Orchard Bank HSBC) was still in the process of elimination! So I waited and waited for months and months with no satisfaction or communication!

For some reason I looked myself up in public records and found a case against me from the pending card from
Orchard Bank – HSBC (see enclosed). This is what sparked my complaint and my own investigation! I got a copy of my credit report in Jan. 2011, overlooked it and discovered that B of A was the only account being paid!

1. I filed a complaint with the BBB against Freedom Financial Management on 12.21.2010. After they failed to respond within the time frame given (they responded on 1.24.2011) (see enclosed), I followed a refund process giving them a 2 week deadline (2.1.2011) that they failed to adhere! I mailed a complaint to Freedom Financial requesting a full refund and account closure that they also failed to adhere. In my complaint, I stated that if didn’t receive a full refund and complete account closure that I would file complaints with (see enclosed).

2. Since they failed to accept my 2 week deadline (2.1.2011), I mailed the complaints to the 8 contacts I stated in my original complaint, as well as copies to Freedom Financial like I said I would (see enclosed). I mailed Everything with return receipt request as proof of delivery and acceptance!

3. On 2.2.2011, I got an email from Regina Ferron from Alliance 8 (see enclosed). Our communication was delayed on 2.5.11 and completely ceased on 2.6.11 (see enclosed).

4. As of today, I have no communication, no resolution and figured this was going No Where, until I received this letter from you! I lost faith in the system; unfortunately I only kept certain pieces of information (my apologies). You presently have Everything I kept regarding my experiences with Freedom Financial Management!
