Phished into giving my mobile number to these scumbags. Intending to visit BravoTV.com, i mistakenly visited Bravo.com, which is a well-disguised phishing site with a customer survey that asks for a mobile number. Assuming it was for the TV network, I entered it and immediately received a barrage of text messages about winning prizes and whatnot, along with a "reply with STOP to cancel" prompt, which I did. I haven't been bothered since, but there was a $10 charge on my AT&T bill from Mqube/ClickGen for "Ringtones/Auctions". I have called AT&T (who were very helpful and accommodating) and had the charge removed, but I will be watching my bill closely...

Update: 03/16/2012

Spam texts resumed. The 800 number they send asks you to enter phone number, says it's invalid and disconnects. Called AT&T AGAIN and there was another $10 charge on the account. Operator reversed the charge and cancelled the "subscription".
