A little over six months ago (July 17th, 2011), I ordered a product from www.GlamourHair.com for my mother which totaled to $175.00 (with free "shipping"). Three days later, I received the following email:

"I am very sorry this item is on back order, we do not have a date for it but I would stay on the back order list so you are first to get it when some comes in.

Thank you so much and have a blessed day,

[Axxxxx Kxxxxxxxxxxxxx] *(I'm leaving out her name for privacy.)

The same day, I replied with:

"I know that you said that you don't have a restocking date, but do you have any kind of idea? I wouldn't have ordered this one if I knew that this was on backorder, but there weren't any indicators of that on the website. Thanks."


The next day, someone from the company (there was no signature left on the email) affirmed that they did not know when the item would be restocked and offered to refund my order. I asked them if they could. Six days later I got this message:

"will do and thanks:)"


The last correspondence that I got from them was on July 29th stating that it would take equal to or less than thirty days for my refund. I have emailed them countless times, but to no avail. I would have called the company, but they have no phone number listed on the GlamourHair.com website. There is something very questionable about a business that doesn't list a phone number on its website.

I did some research and found the phone number 775.321.9830. No matter what time of the day I call, there is always an automated voice that states that they are not available to take the call "right now." The voice also directs the caller to email the company, which I have done multiple times and have never received a response after July 29th, 2011.

They have a customer gallery which has before and after pictures and I haven't seen any other complaints online from this company, so I'm inferring that they are just keeping my money until they get re-supplied with the product that I ordered. Still, this is not proper business manner to cut off all correspondence with a customer like they have to me.

Glamour Hair knows what it is doing, and I want to help potential buyers interested in Glamour hair be on guard if they are ever in my shoes and ask for a refund. I highly doubt if I will ever get my refund, product, or even a reply from GlamourHair.com, but knowing that others will not be treated like this by them makes up tenfold my loss.
