Hi, my name is C. Keaton. In March of 2011 I was looking for an affordable home to rent to own. While browsing online I came across American Standard, which advertised homes for rent to own. So I called the number that was provided 1-(877)-395-1296 and spoke to a person named Jim. He was very polite on the phone and told me that if I wanted a home quickly that they could provide one. Jim then asked me to sign up for a free trial period for $199. American Standard charged me $199 Move In fee without my permission, under the assumption of moving into a house that was vacant. I was not informed in the beginning that "I" was to mail letters to homeowners that were still living the homes and that they had at least 30 days or more to move out of them. To my disappointment and much too much time being spent on calling American Standard for help, I was given the run around.So I asked for my full refund back from not being satisfied with their results. I have patiently waited longer than the 90 day money guarantee they had promised. I am currently still without an home and would like my $199.00 back.
