I live in Ontario, Canada and I applied for a loan through the website www.thelendingplaza.com Was contacted via email to call Ms Kelly Morris at L&B to discuss the loan. Was told to send all my bankimg and payroll info, then was sent my loan contract (which looked completely legitimate), and the notice to pay 4 months in advance. Sent this via Western Union to a Janelle Smith in London, Ontario (discovered that the money was picked up in North York and Scarborough). I was then told that I would need to sedn the insurance funds, which I did via Western Union. When my loan funds weren't deposited I contacted the company and spoke with Cynthia in the accounts management dept and was told that my file had been mismanaged and that I was supposed to pay a broker fee. I told them that I wanted to cancel, and was informed that my money would be returned via certified cheque. Needless to say, I never did get my money back. Now their website and phone lines are all shut down.
