Sometime in January, 2012 I received an email stating that I was eligible to receive a free bottle of perfume and I would only be responsible for the shipping charge of $5.98. I charged the $5.98 to my Citibank credit card and received the perfume in the mail. It was a lovely scent and I thought they were very generous to have sent it as it was to sample their product. Little did I know that by doing this I have opened myself up to a monthly charge for their perfume product THAT I NEITHER ORDERED NOR WANTED.
First I called my Citibank credit card and they told me I needed to contact the merchant. I called the number on my bill for Fondscentcom 866-482-9174 Burbank and ended up speaking to a company that does their billing. He stated to me that he couldn’t remove any charges and gave me their email address to contact them directly. The email address he gave me is [email protected]. When I accessed this website I got a message that stated the following:

“YOU ARE ABOUT TO LOG INTO THE SITE FONDSCENT.COM WITH THE USERNAME “SUPPORT” BUT THE WEBSITE DOES NOT REQUIRE AUTHENTICATION. THIS MAY BE AN ATTEMPT TO TRICK YOU. IS [email protected] THE SITE YOU WANT TO VISIT?”

This company has very deceptive business practices and attempts to take people’s credit card numbers and add charges that were not ordered by me. I have had to cancel my credit card of 18 years where I have excellent credit for having paid my bills either on time or before they were due because I do not want this company to add any additional charges that I did not authorize to my credit card.

Today I have spent over 3 frustrating hours on the phone with Citibank and their billing department today to try to get to the bottom of this problem and ended up cancelling my card because of their unbendable rules.

The above company needs to be investigated to protect consumers.
