Internet scam. I meet Smith Hunt online. He said he was from Lima, Ohio. I called me several times from the number (Personal Info Removed). I traced the number back to Columbus, Ohio. Shared several pictures with me as well. He claimed to be an professional antique dealer. Everything I checked out on him was true. We continued talking for nearly 2 months. He than told me that he had some dealings with Nigeria and he had been scammed out of $160,000. He had meet with the Embassy several times in the US but he had to travel to Nigeria to get his money back. He was waiting on the call. He received it, they had in fact caught the man because of information he received from his wife when Smith had got her on the phone once. So he left, gave me flight numbers. Than the calls started coming for Lagos, Nigeria. He has called me daily and we chat online as well. He said that he had to pay a huge bill of $18,000 and was short $1,500. I sent that to him to help him. Once I did that, he wanted to rebook his flight but had to pay a transfer fee of $2,000. I wouldn't help him. He claimed he went to the travel agency and was able to get the to remove the tax, so he needed $1,300. I agreed but honestly I wasn't going to do it. I was on my facebook today 8/5/11 and was in search of friends. It matched my Smitty's email to one of Daron Malone.
