I also fell for this scam. I have applied to many companies and wrongfully assumed that this was a response to one of my emails with my resume attached. Fortunately, I had technical difficulties when filling out the credit report, and the technician directed me to freecreditreport.com for $1.00. Applicants beware! Unless you receive an actual phone call, do not jump at the chance, no matter how eager you are for employment!
