My daughter saw a True Religion Jeans Outlet site and immediately wanted to buy a pair. I told her she could and she started entering my debit card number since she knows it by heart. I looked over her shoulder and saw the page she was on was NOT a secure site (no lock icon or https: instead of just http: at the beginning of the web address). I immediately wiped the card number and told her that page wasn't secure. Nevertheless, the very next day a charge for $80.36 showed up on my online checking account statement. I filed a police report immediately and will cancel my debit card in the morning. By the way, the website no longer exists. Talk about cut and run!
