I sent a pair of Maui Sunglasses for repair on Feb 06. The lenses were scratched, and I wanted to be replaced with original replacement.
I followed all instructions, paid on time, and received a low-quality, NON-POLARIZED, NON-ORIGINAL lenses.
These are not even close the quality of the original lenses in my sunglasses!!!
When I was quoted for repair, I'd never asked if I wanted a low-quality or a non-original or a cheapest option!!!
The original lenses wasn't even attached to the sunglasses as a proof of quality between the new ones your company just put in my frame!!!
They are cheating, replacing high quality items with low-budget replacement items.
WHen I contacted the company, the told me:
"Item is discontinued so we cant order lenses from manufactuere so we make new lenses inhouse."
(Inappropriate Content Removed) is a "inhouse lens"????
When I said I wasn't informed about this, they said:
"All of this information is available on the website which of course you visited and read"
But there's no way I could know before hand that would be my case!
I told them:
"WHY THAT INFORMATION WASN'T GIVEN TO ME BEFORE ISSUING A QUOTE?
THAT'S DISHONEST BEHAVIOR!!!!
So, Never heard of them after that.
IS MY UNDERSTANDING THAT IF A REPLACEMENT WON'T BE THE EXACT YOU ARE LOOKING FOR, YOU SHOULD BE PROVIDED WITH A "FULLY DISCLOSURE DETAILS" IN ORDER TO MAKE A DECISION.
They don't do that. They just quote and charge, no information whatsoever.
