I noticed a charge on my state issued debit card and contacted the debit card company and was told the charges were from United Benefit Advantage. I explained to be debit card company that I did not authorize these charges and had never heard of this company. I was asked if I had given my card number out to anyone on the phone for any type of purchase. I explained that I had spoken to this magazine company on the phone in Jan., 2012 and had made arragements to pay them $20 per month for 6 magazines and when they put a $49.90 hold on my card without my permission, I immediately cancelled all services they offered me and my money was put back on my card.

When I looked up United Benefit Advantage online and called the phone number from my debit card company, the lady was very rude and told me because of my conversation with the magazine company in January, I agreed to this service. I told her I didn't remember anything like that and I had canceled all services that I spoke with the magazine company about, which would have included United Services and I wanted my money back. She then hung up in my face. I called her back and asked her why she hung up in my face, she said it was because I was rude. I told her I am not a rude person,and that was not good customer service just because someone is upset. I explained to her that I was on a very limited income, and that money could determine whether I had food or not. I asked to speak to a Supervisor. She said she was the Supervisor and she was not gonna give me my money back. These people need to be stopped. They know they are taking unknowing peoples money. The word "Advantage" is a good name for them because they are taking advantage of unknowing people. Any suggestions of how this can be stopped? I Really Need My Money.
