The Who Knew Books site is a scam. I contacted them in anticipation of ordering the books (five book total allegedly for $19.95 + free shipping) entitled "Who Knew?" 4-Book Best of Collector's Set for $19.95 + free shipping", however the free shipping was only if you agreed to purchase additional offers. After listening to the customer rep. hype one added bonus after another for additional money I simply told the gal to "forget it"! Unfortunately, prior to hearing all there offers of extra bonus items, I had furnished my shipping address and CC info, believing them to be a reputable firm. Shame on me. I should know better by now, but evidently I hadn't learned! So, yesterday, about a month later
(3/29/2012), I got a charge on my debit card for $60.47 (roughly three times the advertised amount). Not only was that amount considerably larger than the one originally advertised on TV, but it was run for an order I never authorize, especially after having listened to all their telemarketing attempts to increase the order amount with additional bonuses, coupons, etc.. All this wasn't bad enough, but it just happened to be a large enough amt. to cause an overdraft on my account, so I ended up with a $36 overdraft charge in addition to the outrageous fee for books I never ordered. When I contacted Who Knew Books, I was advised there was nothing they could do until we received the books, the same books we never ordered to begin with. l guess they forgot about the 100% satisfaction guarantee they promoted not only on the infomercial, but on their website as well. I will file a complaint with the State of California's Atty. General's office, as well as with the Better Business Bureau, in hopes that my experience will serve to prevent others from sustaining the same type of fraudulent treatment at the hands of "Who Knew Books". It would appear that their company's name is much more appropriate than maybe even they knew!
