Probably the worst company on the Internet that I have EVER dealt with.
I paid their initial fee of $14.95 online on approximately 02/17/2012 and sent them a pair of expensive sunglasses for repair. I was assigned a "sales consultant" named "Becky S". Upon their receipt (02/21/2012 at 1:54 PM) of my sunglasses at their Sheepshead Bay address (a UPS drop box which can be verified by calling the UPS Store where it is located 718-332-3158) they initially couldn’t “find them”. They did locate them on approximately 03/06/2012 and provided me a price to repair my sunglasses. I immediately paid their repair charge. Many emails went back and forth between Becky S and me regarding the repair date, return shipping date, etc. When it appeared that Becky S was NOT telling me the truth, I asked that they not repair the glasses and refund my money. Shortly thereafter Becky S told me via email that the glasses were already being repaired and I would have them soon. When the glasses failed to arrive, I sent Becky S an email giving her several options regarding my sunglasses and also gave her a deadline. Two days later I received a UPS package from OpticsFast. After opening the package, I discovered that the glasses were in worse shape than when I sent them in (they bent them) AND they were NOT fixed; never been touched in fact. According to an area expert (who could not fix them because of a specific part that he is not in a position to order) I took them to for evaluation, at my expense, he indicated that other than bending the frame, they did nothing. When I wrote Becky S about this newest event, she wrote back that she “would fix them under warranty” and provided a return number. Before I could even consider that thought she wrote me again saying that their “lab” was unable to repair the glasses. Eventually, they did refund the repair charge but not the initial $14.95; they claim it is the return delivery charge should you fail to accept their estimate. That should not apply to me, as I DID accept their offer to repair, thus entering into a contractual agreement with this company. They failed to repair the glasses and returned them to me. During this ordeal, I discovered this site and was amazed at all the negative comments displayed as well as the number of people that have simply been screwed by this corporation (Yes, they are a New York corporation with only one officer, President Yeugeny Radomslsky which can be verified (it's all public record) by visiting the New York State Department of State website and searching for Optics Fast Inc. which was incorporated on December 3, 2010, which may be misleading when compared to claims on their website). With that in mind I consulted legal counsel as well as retaining a private investigator for additional information. A lawsuit is being prepared and I intend to move forward with that lawsuit which will include, but not necessarily be limited to fraud, false advertising, unjust enrichment and deceptive trade practices as well as knowingly and intentionally committing these acts and others. I urge anyone complaining of OpticsFast.com to investigate your own matter and determine if the behavior of OpticsFast.com is actionable where you live. A certified demand letter has been sent to them. More updates will be provided as they become available and those that I can legally post will be posted.
