I order a pair of frye boots that I had been coveting for awhile. My husband was buying them for my birthday. Thought is was my lucky day. Previous searches for these boots on reputable web sites never showed availability for the color/size that I wanted. My husband told me to look for them again
Since it had been some time from the earlier searches. After googling Frye
Miranda Slouch tan size 9, there was a new website called shop-Cora. Not only did it state that my size/color combo were in stock but that they were only $120.76 not the usual $328.00. My husband ordered them right away and in the pay screen it only let use use Pay Pal. So he got a PayPal account and ordered the boots. When I googled shop-Cora to show my mom the boots, I saw multiple pages of complaints and started to get worried. We waited about 10 days and I still hadn't received anything. I tried to contact shop-cora but phone # didn't work and my email was returned with incorrect web address. So my husband called PayPal and made an official complaint. Then on April 5, I received a package from china. Airmailed and came through customs. When I opened the package there was just a sponge with Chinese sender info. I looked in my account at shop-Cora and its says it's pending a reverse from PayPal for a different amount. My husband also received an email from PayPal that they are now taking this claim seriously. I feel this is just the beginning. With this web site having personal information and financial knowledge I'm very wary. Also refuse to pay $5
For a sponge I didn't order. I hope we get the money back but I really wanted those boots. Looking back I am able to see the discrepancies in the shop site. There are brands that are exclusive labels and wouldn't be on a web site for .45cents. Please, no own else fall victim. If something sounds too good to be true it usually is.
