I signed a "month to month" contract with Youfit Health Clubs, Tallahassee, in January 2012. I didn't enjoy the gym due to the terrible music played at high volume, and decided to cancel. I carefully followed the steps described by the contract to submit a resignation, and sent my cancellation by certified mail in February. However, they simply ignored my resignation, and have continued billing my account.
It is obvious that they do not plan to release me, and I would advise anyone to avoid this scam health club. They are dishonorable cheats.
