I received a text saying that my purchase last week qualified me to receive a 1K gift card at Walmart and click here to claim. I don't have a smart phone so I forwarded the message to my email and followed the link. On the first page they collected my info which was automatically there because of my browser settings and, hey, 1000 bucks ain't too bad. When I went to the next page I quickly realized I had been scammed and this site wasn't even walmart at all. I was to complete some 15 sponsors offers to claim my prize.
Since this happened my once private cell # and email are being reached by telemarketers all the time and I am afraid I will need change both. What an absurd and I must assume illegal scam and breach of my privacy.
