I posted an ad on Craiglist a couple weeks ago for a bookcase. The next day I recieved a response from a Smith Jude she asked if we still had this item for sale then e-mailed me again and told me that she was deaf and was unable to talk on the phone and was unable to pick it up personally but would send extra money to have the item picked up by a shipper and they would send a certified check. About a week later I provided her with my mailing address for the money to be sent. I received a "certified check" in the amount of $2250.00, written on City National Bank, 21st floor, Los Angeles, CA 90071..Sender was Natpe Educaitonal Foundation Inc..Signed by Sandra Ellawee..signature looks like a photocopied signature..check was sent from David Kendall 138 Dikeman Street, Brooklyn NY..The e-mail that I was in contact with is [email protected] .I will be reporting and forwarding all e-mails to Craigslist. Please be aware of whoever responds to your post on Craigslist.

- My mother and I posted an ad on CL for a crystal dragon. The same email responded to us, saying he was deaf and would send a check. Luckily, my mom and I noticed that the email didnt make much sense, so I googled the email address. I thank god I did! I found your post and we have decided not to cooperate with him! Thank you again for posting this!
