For 9 years we have had a termite protection contract with Terminix. the contract states that there will be an annual inspection of the home. After the initial inspection and the termite treatment, Terminix has never been in our home for the annual inspection. The contract also stated that any damage that ocurrs from Termites would be repaired by Terminix. We paid our premium annually to renew our contract believing we had protection and that if there was damage done by termites, the repair work would be covered. Our contract was through March of each year. Since we had not had a home inspection for 9 years, we called in February 2012 to let them know we would not renew our contract. On April 10, 2012, we discovered while having a window replaced that we had extensive termite damage in our den and study. The repairman stated that the damage ocurred more than one year ago and probably two or three years ago. I called Terminix to ask them to send someone out to look at the damage. I was informed that "we no longer had a contract with Terminix and they would not talk to me" When I stated the damage was done during the time we had a contract, I was told again that "we no longer have a contract with them and they will not talk with me". I asked to speak to the manager and got the same reply. I called back two different days and got the same response. It was as if they had a script to read. All attempts to get help have been rebuffed. I have pictures that will verify that the damage was more than one year old. I want help in getting reimbursed for the expense of the repairs.
