I was duped into signing up for what I thought was a discounted family vacation package for $450. I should have been alerted to by the great lengths they went to record conversations, and how they wanted payment before actually booking anything. I told them I wanted to travel starting 11/28 and I was told that my dates were 100% guaranteed. I was then told I had to wait 24 hours to book anything. In hindsight, this is probably to allow time for the charges to hit your credit card before you figure it out and dispute them/cancel your card. When I tried to book the next day, I was told that my dates were during a peak holiday period and there would be an additional $399 charge, basically doubling the cost of the trip. When I argued that this was not made clear to me, and that I was told only that my dates were guaranteed, they immediately got hostile and referred to the recorded conversation. When I mentioned calling the Better Business Bureau, they hung up on me.
