A check was cleared through my bank account from "Alliance". It has a contact number, etc. just like the others.
This HAS to be some kind of scam, or it could be something attached to a phone bill (I've seen that, but they usually tack those onto the phone bill itself), but it is truly Phishy. I notified my bank that I did not authorize this payment, but have not heard back from them yet. I don't expect to hear anything from Alliance, whatever that is.
Update: 07/24/2012
I have notice others are mentioning that they have OCWEN. We do too. I have called OCWEN on the phone in the past two months to have a payment drafted from my checking account and used my checking number. BINGO!!! OCWEN has to be the source.
