I received an email on August 1, 2012 at 12:52am EST from an Emma Andrews stating that she wanted to order Avon Products. I responded to the request later in the morning (around 7am or 8am)of August 1, 2012 asking if she wanted me to send her a book so that she could place an order (why she didn't just order the items from the website, I don't understand... oh, wait a min.. he/she rather SCAM!!!!!)...

In quotations, this is the reply that I received back on August 2, 2012 at 4:26pm:

"Hello,
I really appreciate your prompt response to my inquiry. I'm The Manager of one Magnificent Model Incorporation Chicago, IL. We will be coming down to your city by the end of this month for a photo shoot and I would need you to get the under listed Avon products for me. The quantity needed for each of the products is in bracket at the front of item number for each product.

Get back to me with the total cost and sale's tax for the products.
Also, with the name and mailing address you want your payment mailed to so I can instruct the Sponsor to prepare your payment (You should note that courier service doesn't mail to P.O.Box).
Please get back to me as soon as possible so I can continue with the order. I would instruct the project sponsor to send you the payment in either money order or certified check which you can cash instantly at your bank. We would be in your city soon for the photo shoot so our crew would pick up the items themselves but I only want you to have the funds in advance so you can get the ordered product ready.
Please send the quotations and details needed to send your payment ASAP.

At first I Googled the company to see if they were legit and found the company's website to be authentic just at a glance (there was a BBB stamp on the webpage).. but what still bothered me was 1) why would they be coming to an insignificant city for a photo shoot, 2) if its truly a photo shoot, why would they be ordering bath items and Hello Kitty necklaces for their models, and lastly 3) why are they not using the website to order when they are out of state and why is payment being sent by a courier???!!

I did not reply (nor will I be doing so) to the last message I received from them (above) nor did I order the products that were requested, so I am not out anything.. :-)

This is just tooooooo sloppy to be true... LOL Don't believe the hype and don't fall victim!!! :-P
