I was looking for a leather motocycle jacket on eBay. I found this item posted by "bridge-motocycles ltd". When I went to contact the seller to ask them for the postage fees to Australia with their suggested email '[email protected]', I get a messsage from this person with a different email address '[email protected]' shortly after. At the time, I didn't realise this, as I thought another department dealt with this question or something. Long story short, the guy replied saying if you 'Buy it now', the cost is $369.99, free postage. Then he/she continued to provide me a generated eBay invoice (looking quite legitimate) with details to pay with Western Union. After the payment was made, a day later he came back to me via email, stating that there was an issue and I needed to pay an extra $220 tax fee to get it through customs. Without this payment, he cannot ship the item. I've tried to email back and forth and claim for refund to realise on the second night that I may not ever see my $562 come back to me. I don't know what to do, any help is better than none. After coming to this site, unfortunately there are so many people in the same position. This act has taught me to reserved judgement and not act on impulse in the future.
