Fast forward 4 years, Raj is still telling them the money is just about "here". Every week they were told some new story - totally insane things. At one point he claimed he had sued HSBC, that he had the money and was driving to the bank to wire it forward, and that he was flying his Lear jet to Europe to pick the "monies/pay orders" up himself. They have literally hundreds of crazy stories about the things he's said and done. Throughout this time, he had the investors and others investing more and more money to help the "process" along. Five thousand here, ten thousand there.




Raj is still stringing them along, although he's changed the story considerably by now. A few times, when they started questioning him, he'd say things like "if you're going to make threats like that, I'll just cancel the deal and keep the money".




The reason that I recently went looking for information about Raj is that my friend (and a business associate of his) are actually going to meet with him at his place in San Marcos later this week. I wanted to find out how sketchy this Raj is before they left, and unfortunately it seems that he is a pretty well-known scammer.




I was curious to know if you ever heard him discuss NoMatterWare during your time at HTT. Any information is incredibly helpful in the event that they find the resources for legal action. What did you do for HTT?




I was incredibly sorry to read about how he screwed you over. It is truly disturbing that he is still living well and free. My friend lost his house and is now massively in debt. It's scary how many parallels your story has with my friend's.




Once their visit is complete, I'll probably ask them to post the details of the scam on the site to warn others.
